Tiny Purple Cat today announced A Mind Apart, a narrative puzzle adventure coming to PC via Steam. Set in a surreal storybook world where memories take physical form and reality shifts without warning, A Mind Apart follows a 13-year-old girl who wakes before a gate she cannot pass. Her journey begins with a mysterious blue otter and an unfamiliar road stretching north. To find her way forward, she must unravel her past and confront her present.
Be invited to an impromptu picnic, rescue a squirrel from a roof, or rummage through an otter’s fridge when no one’s watching. A gentle dream gradually turns into something far stranger. Meet an eclectic cast of characters, solve puzzles with a bow and arrow, and make choices with consequences that ripple throughout the journey. From the hearts she touches to the keepsakes she gathers, choices shape the girl’s journey and lead to one of multiple possible endings.
“The story reflects on how young people carry the things that happen to them,” said Luna, developer of A Mind Apart. “I want the world to feel warm and safe to wander, but with something heavier underneath. It’s about finding a way forward without pretending the past never happened.”
