Step beyond the 13th Gate and survive the challenges laid out by the banished Dealer. Spitfire Interactive and Spicy Koala today launched Hand of Fate: Hordes into Steam Early Access, bringing the beloved Hand of Fate universe and its iconic Dealer back in an entirely new form.
Hand of Fate: Hordes is available on Steam for $11.99 / €11.99. For the first 14 days players can purchase it at a 20% discount. Players looking to further support development can also purchase the Hand of Fate: Hordes Supporter Pack, which includes a selection of exclusive cosmetic items, for $4.99 / €4.99.
Hand of Fate: Hordes combines survivor-like autoshooting with a tarot aesthetic and strategic deckbuilding to create something fresh while calling back to the kind of genre-blending innovation that launched the Hand of Fate franchise over a decade ago. Hold out against relentless hordes while exploring narrative encounters and quests in order to unlock tokens to aid in future runs.
No two runs are the same thanks to an ever-expanding arsenal of cards, weapons, blessings and gameplay modifiers that encourage experimentation and reward creative strategies. Players can choose between four distinct heroes: Trickster, Goblin, Warrior and Rebel, each offering their own unique blend of ranged, melee and magical combat styles.
Developed by the original indie creators behind the award-winning Hand of Fate series, Hand of Fate: Hordes also marks the return of Anthony Skordi as the voice of the iconic Dealer, reprising the role that helped define the franchise’s dark and enigmatic world.
We’re excited to bring Hand of Fate: Hordes to Early Access and share it with players around the world. Revisiting the Hand of Fate universe through an entirely new genre has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. The team has bold plans for future updates and we are excited to bring the community along with us. Your feedback and passion for Hand of Fate is what drives us to create fun and engaging new experiences. We can’t wait to see how together we shape this new game as we take the journey through Early Access, said Cade Franklin, Creative Director at Spitfire Interactive.
Following today’s launch, Hand of Fate: Hordes will continue to evolve throughout Early Access with additional heroes, quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons and gameplay updates planned for future releases.
