Developer War Mouth Games today announced Tower Tanks, a 1–4 player co-op vehicle combat roguelike where you and your friends build and crew giant tanks together.
TEAM UP! BUILD UP! BLOW UP!
Start by building your tank together, piece by piece. Add new rooms, weapons, defenses and stations, then climb aboard your increasingly questionable creation and see how it holds up once the fighting starts.
Once the tank starts rolling, the whole crew operates the same machine. Move between driving, weapons, repairs and whatever else suddenly needs attention, covering for each other as you try to keep your own tank alive long enough to blow the enemy’s apart.
Building a giant tank is one thing. Keeping it in one piece is another.
Enemy attacks can tear your creation apart piece by piece, changing what the crew has left to work with in the middle of a fight. Lose a weapon, a room or an entire chunk of the tank and you’ll have to improvise with whatever is still attached.
Sometimes the tank you built gets blown apart in ways you didn’t expect. Sometimes half of it disappears with it. Scrambling together, adapting on the fly and somehow keeping the fight going is where some of the best co-op moments happen.
Every run is a chance to see just how far your crew can take the machine you built together.
Fight your way through new challenges, complete objectives, reach new areas and take on enemy war machines and huge bosses. Scavenge resources from levels and defeated enemies, then put what you collect back into the tank to repair, rebuild and make the whole thing even bigger.
Use the Scrap you collect to repair, modify and grow your machine between battles. What starts as a modest tank can become an increasingly ridiculous fortress on wheels, while new weapons, tools and stations open up more ways for your crew to build and experiment.
Tower Tanks is currently in development for PC via Steam.
Key Features
- Build questionable tanks together: Bolt on rooms, weapons, defenses and stations, experiment with different layouts and find out how your creation actually holds up once the fighting starts.
- One tank. One crew. Too many jobs: Drive, man the guns, repair damage and move between stations while the whole crew works together to keep the same machine alive.
- Keep fighting as your tank falls apart: Tanks can be destroyed piece by piece, forcing the crew to improvise when a weapon, room or entire chunk of the vehicle disappears.
- Take on roguelike runs together: Complete objectives, reach new areas and face enemy war machines and huge bosses as your crew sees how far its creation can go.
- Scavenge. Rebuild. Go bigger: Collect resources from levels and defeated enemies, then use Scrap between battles to repair, modify and expand your tank.
- Unlock more ways to build: Expand your arsenal with new weapons, tools and stations that open up more possibilities for your crew to experiment with.
