MicroProse and Not Knowing Corporation today announced that Jungle Storm, the second campaign for Cleared Hot, launches on October 15 as a free update for everyone who owns the game.
The new campaign brings nine missions, with playtime comparable to Chapter 1, and sends players into rain and lightning against a wider range of threats. Every helicopter also gains a unique ability inspired by its real-world role, while a new Utility slot gives pilots more ways to respond when a mission goes sideways.
What’s new in Jungle Storm:
- A new nine-mission campaign with playtime comparable to Chapter 1, plus a new boss fight we’re keeping under wraps.
- Two new helicopters: the Ka-52 and the MH-53. The winners of a helicopter poll.
- Unique abilities for all 11 helicopters, reflecting how each aircraft is used in the real world.
- A Utility slot for every helicopter, with flares, chaff, EMP, airstrikes, and smoke grenades available as in-world pickups, as well as upgrades in the hangar.
- Rain and lightning across the Jungle Storm campaign.
- New enemies, including BTRs, Shilkas, gunboats, swift boats, drone swarms, and new turrets.
- Helicopter skins purchasable with in-game currency.
- A level editor and early file-based modding support, giving players a starting point for making their own content.
- Reworked gun overheating with a new indicator.
The update also includes fixes and changes shaped by player feedback on Chapter 1.
