Independent developer and publisher Duckskill has launched the Steam Coming Soon page for Drop Order, a dark sci-fi tactical tower defense game built around free turret placement and player-controlled enemy pathfinding. The announcement trailer is also now available, and players can wishlist the game on Steam.
In Drop Order, defense is a spatial puzzle rather than a collection of fixed tower slots. Players use cards to deploy turrets and support structures, combine them into powerful synergies, and manipulate enemy pathfinding to create chokepoints, extend routes, and turn the battlefield into a deadly maze.
When the waves begin, players can take direct control of a combat drone to reinforce weak points and fight alongside their defenses. Successful operations contribute to persistent progression aboard the orbital station UNION-9, unlocking new technologies, cards, and options for future missions.
