Solo developer FoxusSexus has released a new playable demo for HMUR, the fast-paced first-person shooter set in an alternate 1990s USSR.
The demo is available now on Steam for a limited time, from September 17 through October 1. The release is accompanied by a new demo launch trailer showcasing the latest version of the game.
The new demo marks the first opportunity for players to experience HMUR following the previous rounds of public playtesting. Since then, the game has continued to evolve through further development, changes based on player feedback, and additional ideas introduced by the developer.
The demo also launches during Boomstock 2026, a Steam festival focused on fast-paced retro shooters, taking place from September 17 to 24.
“Quite a lot of time has passed since the last playtests, and HMUR has changed considerably since then. This demo is a chance to see the current version of the game and the results of the work that has gone into it over that time. Feedback is still extremely important to me, so I hope players will share their impressions after playing.”
