Today, Kitten Cup Studio announced that its heartwarming and family-friendly narrative-driven adventure game, Capy Castaway, will be released on Steam on August 6. This announcement was shared on the Wholesome Games channel, which featured Capy Castaway in its recent Wholesome Direct broadcast.
Inspired by a real-life capybara duo’s escape from Toronto’s High Park Zoo, Capy Castaway follows capybara Capy and crow Corvi on a journey back home after a flood. Sniff, dig, and turn anything into a hat as Capy, or take to the skies as Corvi to reach items and swoop Capy across gaps! The new launch day trailer features the voice of a young capybara fan as she highlights many of the fun activities in the game. The trailer also teases one of the game’s mysterious characters–Dragon.
On August 6, Capy Castaway players can look forward to:
- Cozy co-op or solo gameplay as either Capy or Corvi.
- Creative sandbox puzzle solving.
- A dynamic narrative with multiple endings.
- Serene music from A Short Hike composer Mark Sparling.
- Endless capybara and corvid cuteness!
Capy Castaway, available on Steam August 6, will be sold for $17.99 (a 10% discount from the regular price of $19.99 USD). An OST featuring the music of Mark Sparling will also be available.
