Belgian indie studio Funke Munke just launched the demo of its bizarre first-person RPG Last Wail of the Sea King on Steam, alongside its participation in Steam’s Party-Based RPG Fest.
Last Wail of the Sea King throws players into the belly of a gigantic sea beast, where an entire strange world has grown inside its living body. Meet the creatures that call it home, recruit unlikely allies, and fight your way through turn-based battles in a surreal adventure inspired by classic party-based RPGs.
The demo gives players their first chance to step inside the Sea King and experience its strange inhabitants, environments and combat system ahead of the full game.

Last Wail of the Sea King is a surreal first-person RPG combining turn-based party combat, exploration and bizarre world-building.
You find yourself inside a gigantic sea creature. Within it, the world is twisted and strange, with all kinds of creatures and even settlements. As you explore deeper into the beast, you’ll encounter eccentric characters, recruit allies to your party and uncover the mystery of what exactly is happening inside the Sea King.
Combat is turn-based and party-focused, giving you a range of characters and abilities to experiment with as you face the increasingly strange creatures lurking within.
It is an RPG about exploring a living world that is slowly dying around you.
