Santa Barbara Games has released new gameplay footage from Voidwood, its upcoming PC co-op survival horror game where communication can help keep your friends alive, or tell the things hunting you exactly where you are.
The new clips offer the clearest look yet at Voidwood in action, from exploring and scavenging through its colorful cursed forest to the increasingly dangerous scramble to survive once darkness falls.
“One of the things we really wanted to do with Voidwood was make team communication something you need to survive, but also your greatest liability,” said Shawn Seibert, Founder & Creative Director at Santa Barbara Games. “You have to group up, you have to whisper, and then at times you have to split up, and you can’t communicate. This footage is the closest we can get you to what that actually feels like without handing you a headset.”
