Independent developer Weepel Games today announced the release of the public Steam demo for Astral Bounty.
Astral Bounty is a 1 player 2D arcade shoot ’em up. The demo sends bounty hunter Chip Mulligan from a frozen surface deep into a hostile mining complex across one demanding, roughly 12-minute level. Players fight through hand-built enemy formations, collect credits from destroyed targets and spend their earnings at in-level shops to build an increasingly destructive arsenal. Inspired by the 90’s classic Blood Money, which gave its developer childhood nightmares, Astral Bounty’s challenging gameplay makes upgrades, checkpoints and revives compete for the same limited credits.
