The hotly awaited demo for Murder Meet Cute has finally dropped, and it’s dripping with snark, puns and 90s nostalgia. Having been announced during InterfaceX26 in May and showcased in the Horror Game Awards Midsummer Nights Scream fest in June, Murder Meet Cute is now being proudly included as part of the nonbinary coded games flagship festival.
The demo lets you get hands on with Amy, as she smirks with her pal Jen in an ICQ like chat, clashes customers at the computer shop, and sleuths through their machines during repair.
About Murder Meet Cute
Murder Meet Cute is an interactive fiction game, where you explore simulated 90s OS systems to uncover Amy’s and her customers’ lives. When fixing clients’ machines, you use ‘Crypto-Nonographic’ technology to debug the machines – picross/nonography puzzles that transform into repulsive viruses to fix once solved.
Using both her at home computer and clients’ machines, as well as talking to clients at the shop, together you’ll investigate the deaths plaguing her small town. But not before you give the local conspiracy forum users a run for their money first.
